Words Of Encouragement

Sometimes you just need a few words of encouragement – even basic advice – to help guide you out of a funk or fear. I hope the words below, which I penned long ago to guide myself, are of assistance:

1.      Reward your successes. Schedule time for play and relaxation.

2.      Set time limits for projects and stick to them.

3.      Don't take on too much at any one time. Besides, the end result of your thoughts and experiences will be to publish them so don't concern self with what actually happens.

4.      Look at all possibilities, from all perspectives

5.      Life is a collaborative effort so lean on others: share the burdens

6.      Accomplish what needs to get done according to deadline, not pleasure.

7.      The key is to be focused and to have a plan; the rest is execution and allowing for adjustments of the plan. Things change so be ready to go with the flow. Happy go lucky is the way to go. Don't fall slave and victim to the plan, either.

8.      Do not let others set your agenda and do not look to meet anyone's needs, desires or expectations but that of my own.

9.      Start fresh -- clear the slate.

10.  Give time for things to develop and incubate -- invest now; plant seeds

11.  It's okay to see possibilities everywhere, but you can only act on a select few.

12.  Face your fears by taking action and doing things differently, more of them, and the things you maybe don’t like

13.  Build everyday for tomorrow

14.  Control what you can control.

15.  Always keep things in the pipeline -- think and plan ahead while executing on projects now.

16.  You can't wait for a green light to cross the street.

17.  Learn how to relax but not to waste time.

18.  Attitude is an aptitude

19.  It’s always business, and it’s always personal.

20.  Take steps now to prevent a problem later

21.  Take a risk – it is worth it.
