Interview with Author Tory Allyn

1.)    What inspired your newest book?
I have had this idea geminating in my head since the mid 1990's. It wasn't until the death of my father that I finally sat down and typed the keys on his computer. I knew it was in me, I just had to be inspired.

2.)    What is it about?
It is a mystery thriller with lots of suspense. It starts out in one direction and plot twists you into another. It's quite hard to pin down the plot without giving away the spoilers. Let's just say it's a must read.

3.)    Why should someone buy it over all other books?
I can almost guarantee that nobody other book has a plotline or characters like ALTER EGO. Not to mention, it has received 5 star reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. (The reviews are not from family of friends. I would not allow them to post one. I wanted all my reviews to be genuine!)

4.)    Why did you become s writer?
The need to tell my story. I didn't want to go to the grave without having told it.

5.)    What advice do you have for struggling writers?
If your belly is burning to tell your story, then don't let anything get in your way.  This task can be daunting...but if you are yearning to get your tale out to readers, then by all means, do it!

6.)    What are the challenges and rewards to a writing career?
Sacrifice is a challenge. A writer will have many foes such as time, family, friends and a blank screen sitting in front of you. These obstacles can be daunting, so write out a schedule and stick to it. Before you know it, a novel will be written. That will be your reward!
